Operating Principle of a Conical Nauta Dryer
The Nauta Mixer is very simple in operation, in which the screw lifts material upward from the bottom to the top. At the same time, the screw arm revolves around the cone. Due to gravity, the material is pulled down the center because of the cone shape. The Nauta Dryer is specially designed to remove powder moisture up to 0.4%. This Nauta Dryer is first filled with powder up to the screw level. While pouring this powder, the screw should be in running condition. The Nauta Dryer offers powder fill-up, and heating should be started for sensitive products instead of using steam or thermic fluid.
We prefer a hot water system as the heating medium. This heating depends upon the amount of vacuum applied with respect to the sensitivity of the product’s temperature. Due to the use of a vacuum, generally, all Nauta Dryers operate at very low temperatures. The Nauta Dryer has a sample point to check the moisture level, and once the desired moisture is achieved, we keep the screw running in a certain direction and discharge the material out.
