Working Principle
In an octagonal blender, material is loaded at the set position through the material entry door. After closing the door, all limit switches are interlocked, and then the machine rotates at a speed between 10–30 RPM, depending on the capacity.
Mixing takes place mainly due to the octagonal shape of the bowl and the baffles provided. After the set time has elapsed, the mixer stops at a specific point, and the material is discharged.
Octagonal Blender Design
Octagonal Blender itself indicates the design and shape of the blender. An octagonal blender has eight sides for effective mixing. The main design parameters and selection are based on 100% drainability of the powder. The octagonal blender is provided with a suitable loading and unloading station with the help of a proximity switch.
All working areas are guarded by a railing platform and controlled automatically by limit switches. The design thickness mainly depends on the powder properties, such as the type of powder, bulk density, capacity, and material of construction (MOC).
